Senior GIS Systems Administrator
Peak Performers is seeking a Senior GIS Systems Administrator for a remote contract opportunity based in Austin, TX.
Major Duties
- Manage, configure, and maintain enterprise GIS software environments and server architecture.
- Administer spatial databases, optimizing performance, user permissions, and data replication workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows, scripts, and API integrations to support GIS applications.
- Troubleshoot complex system bottlenecks, performance issues, and user access across the GIS infrastructure.
- Implement and monitor system security controls, backups, and recovery procedures to protect critical spatial data.
What Are We Looking For?
- Proven track record in enterprise GIS systems administration, server management, and spatial database configuration.
- Hands-on experience with core GIS platforms, systems architecture, and database infrastructure management.
Exciting Opportunity Details
- Rate: $79.50/hour
- Employment Type: Contract (W2)
- Contract Duration: Three annual 12-month renewal periods
- Worksite Location: Austin, TX 78701
- Work Schedule: Remote
