New Jersey Run for the Fallen Honors Lost

Over two days, participants of the New Jersey Run for the Fallen ran from Cape May to the Vietnam Veteran Memorial in Homedale. Runners would mark every mile with an American flag and a signed card, as each mile represented a fallen soldier from the New Jersey area.

Cultures, Families Gather at Unity Day

NJ National Guard began to hold the “Unity Day” event, an annual event at the Fort Dix Army Base that brings representatives from different cultures under one roof to celebrate each other’s diverse backgrounds. Now in its twelfth year, the event hosted over 600 soldiers and their families, along with food and music from dozens of different cultures.

Veterans NOW Radio Program Hosts Commemorative 9/11 Show Featuring First Responders

The program included Michael Simon, a New York/New Jersey Port Authority member who was one of the first on the scene at the World Trade Center that day, and former Marine Sgt. Joe Pace, who was the first New Yorker to enlist into the service after the attacks.
