About Us

Our Mission

GI Go Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that assists military veterans and their family members, along with first responders, people with disabilities, formerly incarcerated individuals and all people in need with finding employment, entrepreneurship, connecting to their benefits, and accessing housing opportunities.

In Honor of Seth

Our organization was founded in 2006 in memory of Lt. Seth Dvorin, a childhood friend of the GI Go founders who was killed by an IED blast while serving in Iraq. His passing was a terrible tragedy to his family, friends, and our entire community. So the GI Go Fund was created in his honor to make sure that no military members' sacrifice and bravery are ever forgotten, and that our veterans are taken care of when they return home.

Since the organization’s founding, we have worked to preserve Seth's name and honor his legacy by helping veterans every day. We provide employment assistance to veterans looking for work, housing and financial aid to veterans in their most desperate hour, as well as benefits assistance and legal support to military families struggling with civil or criminal matters. In addition, we are developing innovative programs to give veterans assistance in finding employment and developing a small business, transportation support, mentoring, job training, and much more. We do all this in honor of our friend Seth, and we will continue to do so every day!

Community Partnership

GI Go Fund is at the forefront of bringing in dedicated corporate, educational, and nonprofit partners together in support of one common purpose: to give veterans from throughout the country every tool and benefit they need to thrive.

We have received great support from terrific companies like Newman's Own, PSEG, Prudential, EY, and hundreds more over the years, and we are partnering with more companies everyday. Most notably, we developed our Veteran Training Center and Jackson Drysdale Veterans Center with the support of Panasonic, Kessler Foundation, JobPath, and many others that provides employment training and resources to vets looking for work, as well as Incubator space for service-connected veteran-owned businesses to develop their companies and connect to business opportunities in the public and private sectors.

In addition, we have received support from thousands of businesses and schools nationwide through various fundraising efforts, including our Jeans for Troops drive, Red White & Blue days, and Navy SEAL Hudson River Swim, each of which have generated millions of dollars in support of local military veterans and their loved ones.
