Job Description:
The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical
Innovation & Technology is currently seeking a OPS Sponsored Projects
Non-Clerical for the laboratory of Dr. Mike Cameron at the Jupiter, Florida
campus. We joined the University of Florida, one of the nation’s top five
public universities, in April 2022. Together, UF Health and The Herbert
Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology work
to advance science, science education and medicine, all for the benefit of humanity.
The applicant will help a senior member in the lab with mass
spectrometry and enzyme kinetics experiments. They will prepare samples, set up
mass spectrometer runs, process data, and review the results with the senior
lab member.
Expected Salary:
$14.00 per hour.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must have familiarity with mass spectrometry and
cell culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would have experience in a research
setting with the ability to pipette, calculate concentrations, prepare
solutions, maintain mammalian cell cultures, working with analytical equipment
including mass spectrometry equipment.
Experience operating Thermo mass spectrometers would be
ideal.
