Union Pump & Power Technician 2
Position Responsibilities:
Schedules and performs basic and Tier 4 diagnostics and equipment repairs to all types of equipment; documents equipment status before and after rental (including work order detail during repair), communicates equipment issues to customers, foreman, and supporting mechanics
Performs basic Power/Pump/HVAC/Load Bank and Compressor equipment diagnostics
Able to run install crew for Power Generator/Distribution/HVAC/DH/Pump/Load Bank project setup for customers job-site
Maintains service records and creates warranty claims
Performs rent ready inspections on assigned equipment group
Performs preventative maintenance on all Pump & Power equipment as assigned
Installs flexible gas hoses on both propane and natural gas applications; performs proper and safe procedure to check gas connections
Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc.
Works with Service Managers and Rental Operations to ensure rental equipment standards are met.
Must maintain brand commitments of equipment.
Disposes of hazardous materials in a responsible and safe fashion in accordance with company policy
Adheres to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt management
Available for on call emergency service as scheduled
Performs all of the duties of the Level 1 job
Other duties as assigned by the manager
Ability to complete SMFs, warranties, order parts, etc in Wynne system
Commission new equipment
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment
EPA section 608 universal Certification required
Understands basic refrigeration (EPA Certified)
Understands electrical engines and controllers
Understands operation of dehumidification equipment from CDI and munters
Possesses knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater and Shoring; possesses an understanding of diesel equipment, generators and air compressors
Understands compressed air treatment (dryers/filters/aftercooler)
Able to read and understand electric schematics
Able to read and understand hydraulic flow drawings
Project management and customer service skills required
Has an operational process/system aptitude
Experience with similar equipment preferred
$34.57--$36.57
The hourly wage depends on the agreed rate under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement for this location.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
